地獄草紙 詞書

本書は、十二世紀に成立した重要な絵画史料『地獄草紙』を活字化し、初心者から研究者まで幅広く活用できる参考文献を提供することを目的としている。奈良国立博物館所蔵の『地獄草紙』と東京国立博物館所蔵の『地獄草紙』という二点の国宝に加え、ボストン美術館所蔵の奈博本断簡一通に記された各段の詞書（銘文）を、以下の四通りの方法で書き起こした。

① 旧字体・異体字・変体仮名、歴史的仮名遣いなどを含め、可能な限り原文のままの翻刻文

② 旧字体・異体字・変体仮名を現代の字体に置き換えた解読文

③ 現代日本語訳

④ 英訳
